Dog Daycare Knoxville: Cage-Free Play, Enrichment, and Supervised Fun
Looking for dog daycare in Knoxville that gives your dog more than just a place to wait out the day?
At The Bark, daycare is built around safe group play, socialization, enrichment, and plenty of room to move. Our Knoxville dog daycare is a cage-free group play setting where dogs can burn energy, make friends, and enjoy their day while you are away.
We do not rotate dogs through cages or kennels during daycare. Instead, dogs enjoy supervised playgroups, indoor and outdoor play spaces, and private rooms for breaks when needed.
Why Choose The Bark for Dog Daycare in Knoxville?
Not all daycare is the same. At The Bark, we focus on creating a safe and fun experience for dogs with different play styles, energy levels, and social needs.
- Cage-free daycare with no kennel rotation during the day
- Indoor and outdoor play spaces
- Multiple playgroups based on temperament and play style
- Private rooms and quiet spaces for dogs who need breaks
- Enrichment add-ons like agility, leash manners, scent training, and obedience work
- Structured behavior pre-check before joining daycare
What Makes Our Knoxville Doggy Daycare Different?
Our daycare is designed for dogs to have a full, enriching day. Dogs are grouped based on how they play and what helps them succeed in a social environment. Some dogs love to run and wrestle, some prefer calmer play, and some need a little more support and supervision. We build groups with that in mind.
We also have multiple play spaces, including areas for puppies, relaxed dogs, and dogs under 35 pounds, along with larger shared spaces for active play throughout the day.

Requirements for Doggy Daycare
To get started, all dogs must have a pet profile and complete our admission process.
- Rabies, bordetella, and DHLPP vaccines required
- Dogs must be on flea prevention
- Dogs over one year old must be spayed or neutered
- Dogs in heat are not permitted
- Proof of vaccines and health requirements must be uploaded
- All daycare dogs must complete a behavior pre-check
You can also review our full entry requirements before booking.
What Is the Behavior Pre-Check?
Before a dog joins daycare, we complete a 15 to 20 minute behavior pre-check. This includes a behavior history questionnaire, greeting a stranger, a sniff test with one dog, and a sniff test with a group of dogs.
Dogs are graded green, yellow, or red based on how comfortable and appropriate they are in playgroups. Green dogs are ready to join playgroups. Yellow dogs may need extra support and closer observation. Dogs who are not a fit for playgroups may still be good candidates for training programs.

- Supervised group play
- Socialization with compatible dogs
- Indoor play during hot, cold, or rainy weather
- Outdoor play when weather allows
- Breaks in private rooms or quiet spaces when needed
- Optional enrichment add-ons for extra mental and physical exercise
For many dogs, daycare is not just about burning energy. It is also about practicing social skills, building confidence, and having a more fulfilling day.

- Dogs who enjoy social play
- Dogs with lots of energy during the day
- Puppies who need supervised socialization

If your dog is not a good fit for playgroups, we may recommend other options like training or boarding with add-ons.
