FURst Friday Dog Craft Night in Knoxville: Make a DIY Tug Toy for Your Dog

Looking for a fun, dog-friendly event in Knoxville? Join us at The Bark Knoxville for our next FURst Friday Craft Night on June 5th from 4–7 PM. This month’s project is something your dog will actually use (and love): a DIY tug toy with a tennis ball on the end.

It’s the perfect mix of a night out and a hands-on activity—plus, you get to leave with a custom toy made just for your pup.

What is FURst Friday Craft Night?

FURst Friday is our monthly dog-friendly event where we partner with local creatives to bring something new and fun to The Bark. For June, we’re teaming up with Bowman Studios to guide you through making a durable, enrichment-friendly tug toy.

No crafting experience needed—this is a relaxed, come-and-go event designed for dog lovers who want to try something different.

What You’ll Make: DIY Tug Toy with Tennis Ball

Tug toys aren’t just fun—they’re a great way to build engagement, burn energy, and strengthen your bond with your dog. In this workshop, you’ll create a sturdy rope-style tug toy with a tennis ball attachment, perfect for interactive play.

Who Can Attend?

This event is open to both members and first-time visitors. If it’s your first time visiting The Bark, we’ll just need to complete a quick onboarding process before you join the fun.

All dogs must meet our entry requirements:

• Up-to-date vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella)
• A completed pet profile
• A quick behavior pre-check (about 10 minutes)
• A harness while in off-leash play areas
