Doggy Daycare

During the weekday hours of 7:00 am through 6:00 pm, the play spaces at The Bark will function as doggy daycare. Doggy daycare is a group play setting your dog can enjoy during the day. Your dog will get socialization and wear off their excess energy at The Bark while you're away. Daycare at The Bark is all day fun! There is no time spent in a cage or kennel. We have private rooms and play spaces for dogs that require a break. Our Knoxville doggy daycare pricing is as follows:

Full Day: $30

more than 4 hours

Half Day: $25

We also offer Knoxville doggy daycare passes for those who plan to bring their pup to The Bark on a regular basis. Check out those options below.

Vaccinations & More: Admission to doggy daycare follows the same protocol as admission to the dog park. All dogs must be vaccinated for rabies, bordetella, DHLPP, and, be on flea prevention, and spayed or neutered if they are over the age of one year. We do not permit entry to dogs in heat. Proof of these items must be provided in our online system along with the behavior pre-check before entry.

Behavior Pre-Check: In order for dogs to be eligible for doggy daycare, they must also pass a behavior pre-check, no different from the process of admission to the indoor dog park. The owner will first be asked to fill out a questionnaire about their dog's play style as well.

Our behavior evaluation takes 15-20 mins to complete. It starts with a behavior history questionnaire where we talk about your dog's play style, likes, dislikes. We finish up with greeting a stranger, doing a sniff test with one dog, then a sniff test with a group of dogs. If everything goes well throughout the test, You pass! Our playgroup dogs are graded as either green, yellow, or red. Green is good to go! Yellow means our staff is watching out for your dog's extra needs and keeping a closer eye out. Red dogs are not permitted in playgroups but may be involved in one of our training programs. Some dogs may be asked back on another day for a retest if they are seeming a little uncomfortable or nervous. We also really encourage happy visits to our lobby to get treats and build a positive association to The Bark

Play Spaces: During daycare hours, The Bark's main play spaces will function as your dog's playground during their stay at doggy daycare. In addition to the two main indoor play areas, there will two more play spaces to accommodate smaller dogs and puppies. Our daycare dogs, are separated into groups based on their temperament and how they mesh into a group. Some of our little dogs wanna play chase and play with the big dogs and some of our big dogs wanna take a nap with the little dogs. We have spaces to give dogs a break if they are getting over stimulated or needing some time to relax.
