Rescue Dog Night at The Bark Knoxville: Supporting HALT
Join us for a special evening at The Bark Knoxville as we host Rescue Dog Night in support of HALT (Humans and Animals Learning Together), a program doing incredible work in our community.
HALT is a unique program that pairs shelter dogs with at-risk youth for a four-week training journey that changes lives on both ends of the leash. During the program, the youth work hands-on with rescue dogs, helping teach them important skills that make them more adoptable and more prepared for life in a home. At the same time, the youth are building patience, confidence, responsibility, and connection through the training process.
This partnership creates real growth for both the dogs and the kids involved. The dogs get structure, socialization, and training that help set them up for success, and the youth gain the experience of working toward a meaningful goal and seeing the results of their time and effort. At the end of the four weeks, the dogs are adopted out to families, ready for their next chapter.
For our Rescue Dog Night, we are inviting the community to support HALT in a simple but impactful way. Guests will receive free entry into the dog park with a donation of training treats or freeze-dried treats for the dogs in the HALT program. These items help support the training process and give the dogs valuable rewards as they learn.
It is a fun way to enjoy a night at the dog park while also giving back to a mission that helps rescue dogs and young people learn important skills together. Bring your dog, grab a drink, and join us in supporting a program that is making a real difference.
We hope to see you at The Bark Knoxville for a meaningful night of community, connection, and second chances.
